Runes
Runes give a customizable bonus to your champion. There are four types of runes, each with a specialty. Marks provide the best bonuses to offense stats. Seals are best at physical defense, healing, and recovery. Glyphs provide the highest boost to magical power and defense. Finally, quintessences grant a substantial bonus to any stat and special bonuses unavailable through other runes.
Masteries
As you level up, you'll unlock mastery points. These are specialized bonuses that let you customize your champion's stats. Masteries are organized into three trees, and adding points to a tree unlocks increasingly powerful masteries
